Why there is no mention about fields in Java classes?

Most of us knows, that the class attributes another term is fields. And field term commonly occurs in documentations.

When you make a short beginner's tutorial, there will be always stuff you have to leave out in order not to bloat it.

I believe someone who has understood the descriptions in the tutorial will frown for a moment and understand the meaning of field.
