<Meta>-теги - это необязательные атрибуты, размещаютс в заголовке страницы, они могут содержать ее описание, кодировку, ключевые слова к ней, информацию об авторе, управляющие команды для браузера и поисковых роботов, и прочую служебную информацию, не предназначенную для посетителей. Как говорил ранее, они не обязательны, но желательно их прописывать, код будет валидным по стандарту HTML

<Meta> tags are optional attributes that are placed in the page title, they may contain its description, encoding, keywords for it, information about the author, control commands for the browser and search robots, and other service information not intended for visitors. As said earlier, they are not required, but it is advisable to prescribe them, the code will be valid according to the HTML standard
