Just "get cracking" as they say. Pick a Project you want to do (like idk, automate your plant-watering system/ write a small game/ whatever you like) a Language you want to do it in (at first just choose the language you are most familiar with) and start.
This is when you will see if development is even something you want to do, because at some point or another you're going to get stuck somewhere. Then you need the real qualities of a software dev, which are patience, patience and googling. :D
Have lots of fun in your way and don't get frustrated if you get stuck. Everybody does.
