Problem with z-index

Question

Heloo guys i recent find it a problem on my code.I puted a image over other image using z-index.I wanted when i put cursor on first image to display some text i use this tag afte: .img1:hover + .img2{ display:block }
i dont know why the are not working.I tried the all.If you know something answer me please.Thanks
