I recently came across a google summer of code advert,what is it, and what level of skill do u need to be viable to enter the project

It's almost as if Google is some mystical, extremely complicated device which just a few chosen ones can operate to gain informations. If you are able to use Google you are some kind of a new age shaman or oracle. /s
