Bluefish Editor is a free Editor made specifically for web development. It has some great features and shortcuts to launch pages in your default browsers. It's my personal preference for web development.

@Daniel
When comparingĀ BracketsĀ vsĀ Bluefish, the Slant community recommendsĀ BracketsĀ for most people. In the questionāWhat are the best programming text editors?āĀ BracketsĀ is ranked 10th whileĀ BluefishĀ is ranked 25th.Ā The most important reason people choseĀ BracketsĀ is:
Brackets will automatically refresh the browser and load the latest saved version of a file open in the browser. This works with php as well. Editing a css will even highlight the tag that's currently being worked on. However, it only works with Chrome.
