java is used for robotics

actually i want to learn robotics using java...can any one make comment on this guys.

You can use Java for robotics. Java has an embedded jdk, which can run e.g. on a lightweight Linux embedded system.
If you just want to get started, you could try to program one of these Lego Mindstorm robots. The brick has got an embedded Linux distribution installed which can run an embedded jvm.
