Where should a beginner programmer start working on Projects?

I have completed the C language and now I want implement the language in building Something. But I'm not able to get any ideas that how to get started.

After learning C, before learning any other language, you should practice to feel confident using it, then you can either perfect yourself or switch to another language (I would advise C++)
