do the basic lessons.

read the lesson, do the exercises. carefully.
don't speedrun it.

even better if you do extra research on your own about parts of the lessons you are unsure of.

be independent, be thorough. you are doing it for yourself. finishing a lesson or a course without learning anything is just time wasted.

post questions on parts that are not clear to you.
