Whats the difference between a systems developer and a regular programmer?

I’m trying to decide wether i should join a ”systems developers course(contains java programming, design and analysis of systems)” or a ”programming course(contains AI, java and .net programming but NOT design and analysis). Which one is better? Is design and analysis that important?

Of course it's important. But it's two different paths. You don't need everything. Just decide what your goals are and choose one.
