Is the Google's search bar and many search engines are working under the GET method?

I arise this question because when I tend to search something in google.It shows me what I searched in a search box in a form of web address....
For eg:
When I search Web browser in search engine.It shows a web address like this
”https://www.google.com/search?q=Web+browser&oq=web+&aqs=chrome.1.69i59l3j69i57j69i60.3438j0j7&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#sbfbu=0&pi=Web%20browser"
