Beginner advice

I just TODAY decided to learn to code and have started looking into Computer Science as a potential major to study in college. Does anyone have any advice to share regarding how to know if Comp Sci is something Iā€™ll be good at, any tips for coding, or any advice in general for someone starting to look down this path?? Really just anything you wish to share will be greatly appreciated:)

Coding is just problem solving in it's purest form but unlike in maths we programmers get to test our creations as we go. The human-computer relationship is a very productive one because whereas a human will say "I'm fine" and then you have to spend an hour figuring out why they're not fine, a compiler will tell you exactly what's up, so you go fix the problem and move on to greater things. (just kidding) Maybe try playing the game factorio and if after 4 hours you find yourself thinking "what did I want to do again?" then Comp Sci can't be a wrong choice.
