What is the motivation behind some people hiding their courses on Sololearn? What is the benefit of doing that?

In the case of hidden codes, it could be incomplete codes or codes borrowed from others for learning, but why hide courses and their xp in your profile? Is it to get some competitive advantage in challenges so that someone you send a challenge to won't decline it by seeing a high xp amount? Yet some of the people I see with hidden courses don't do too many challenges anymore.

My answer would be that it doesn't matter. There's no motivation involved. It's like asking why some people prefer to wear long sleeves over short sleeves, and whether or not it is to cover hidden weapons or scars underneath their arms.

Maybe I donā€™t know something, but I donā€™t think I can hide my courses in Sololearn. In my opinion the matter is completely different. Not all people who come to SL are newbies. Many have studied programming before and in SL they simply did not take this course again, because they did not need it. Therefore, it turns out, for example, that a person knows java well, and in his profile it is not visible. And yet, if I am challenged, I never go to see who it is. I just accept the challenge and play. The point is not the number of winnings or losses, but the knowledge gained. Agree, with a strong opponent to play much more interesting.

I suppose it's people who makes a lot of challenges. Novice people in sl will avoid their challengues if they see a lot of completed courses. Other possible reason : they are obsessed with privacy

Platinum moderators with hidden weapons sounds like a nice idea. But then again there is no way of tapping into the unconscious of someone to determine unconscious intentions. You're not doing an AMA any time soon are you Hatsy Rei ? If so, we could ask about preferences for long/short sleeves. I better zip it up now before this thread gets too off topic or even worse, mfd!

That's awesome Hatsy Rei ! Get prepared for a question on long and short sleeves. It might fall into the "many more" category in the advert.

Maybe they want to focus on the XP they really care about? Or maybe it is just to troll.

Only to gain more % of bonus points & increase their xp score. Hide courses on SoloLearners, the fact that which weapon or weapons win the battle in disguise. Defend themselves against their Challengers. šŸ˜‘ šŸ™„ šŸ¤£ šŸ˜€ šŸ™„ šŸ˜˜ šŸ˜‘ šŸ™„ šŸ¤£ šŸ˜€
