Why is Apple preffered by so many? When buying just the OS and using a Virtual machine is (seemingly) just as good? Design?

Because Apple was good a decade ago and trapped people into its vicious ecosystem.

Also, having pricey Apple products is "cool"

I prefer Windows to Apple....I hate apple

Cause apple is like basic design, its quick more basic to use to a lot of people that aren't technical, doesn't require a lot of processing to run, but I use linux and windows, windows is a great os though😁 I have a lot of different os for pentesting, I mostly use linux now.

So, I guess its just what you are used to. Glad I didn't fall into that expencive trap.
