Connect from Dreamweaver to phpMyadmin

Greetings. I am having a problem on how to connect my dreamweaver with the database. You see, every time I try to make MySQL connection, it always give an error "Your PHP Server doesn't have MySQL module loaded or you can't use the mysql_(p) connect functions". By the way I am using xampp and phpMyadmin.
