What are semantic elements in HTML?

I am always pretty much confused about Semantic elements. google didn't help and I have lost pretty much always due to the semantic elements question.

Abhinav Bhardwaj from my understanding it is elements who's names describe the meaning such as article or table. Non semantics have more vague names like div. Hope that helps.🙂
