As Jayden said, as long as there is demand and use for it, it'll remain. I can't even begin to predict what will be at the top over the course of a few years, let alone over the course of decades. Right now we're in the process of transitioning into a new age of technology, so many things that we consider the norm right now could drastically change in the next 5-10 years. As an example, C++ is still very relevant today and it's been around for 30 something years. The C language is also relevant and it extends back much further; I believe the 60s or 70s. Python has been around longer than Java has, and it's only recently began to see the spike in its usage that we're currently seeing. I NEVER would have predicted that at any point; even now I hardly believe it. lol
