Can't really go wrong with starting with Java.

It all depends on what app you are making, and if its for desktop, mobile, or even a TV. Java and Python are great for overall things, but we also have stuff like Swift which is designed specifically for Apple products (IOS). C# and C++ are also great for making games for mobile and console.

It all boils down to what you are most comfortable with and best at and what you are building. Hope this helps and as always if you need help with anything I am here!
