Coding for Cybersecurity

Hi I’m studying for cybersecurity and working on getting my CompTIA networking certification in high school… my question is which coding language should I start learning?

There was a job ad from a cybersecurity firm where they prefer/require: VB, C++, Assembly. On the other hand, according to Google, Python is the #1 programming language for cybersecurity due to its versatility - and it's more beginner-friendly.

Python is whats usually used for general automation, due to all the tools avaliable (e.g. pwntools) But really u need to know a bit of every language and every tool in whatever field u specialize in.

Victoria Martinez you need to have good commands in the Linux based OS and be strong in computer networking. Later you may learn different tools and uses and above mentioned languages too like python, javascript, go, ruby and many more accordingly. Happy coding!!!
