Java or JavaScript?

I have VERY recently started a tutorial in Java, and I wonder; Which one is better; Java or JavaScript. Are they the same? I'm curious.

Java and Java script both are different. I will just you to start with java because it's basic. Java Script is little hard to understand if you start with directly with java script.
Both are great in there field we cannot compare both.

They are not some, they just have similar name, java is object oriented language usually for making apps and javascript is web language
