Can we start a dictionary for beginner programmers?

There is so much jargon being used in the world of programming. Can we all contribute to creating user friendly definitions to demystify some of the terms used by programmers? We can also put in some suggestions of words us noobs would like defined.

An IDE is a text editor plus several common features, such as project resources management (files, media, graphics, data etc.) it is usually equipped with debugging support, extended syntax aid tools, some, that supports desktop application programming also comes with drag and drop UI control creation. Modern IDEs also comes with collaboration support, that developer group can cooperate using online collaboration service such as git. Too little that I know to describe, others surely has their own opinions on it, this is a personal opinion. Hth, cmiiw

IDE stands for Integrated Development Environment, it's basically a comprehensive tool (software application) for programming. It typically consist of a code editor, build automation tools, GUI builders and a debugger. Newer IDE's have built in compilers and interpreters. They are in a nutshell what a programmer needs for a development project. Obviously there is more to them but I have outlined the basic explanation of what an IDE is. Some famous examples include NetBeans or Eclipse or even IPython.
