what is the use of visibility tag

as the text inside it won't be visible so what is the use why to use it??????........plzzzzzz.......

well, there may be a need where you want a field to be hidden by default and then make it visible from javascript based on some condition.
e.g. no. of kids field will appear if previous selection was married.
