Old Sololearn

Question

Years ago, I used sololearn quite often to learn more about programming and other languages. Now it has a heavy focus on AI/ML, where a lot of courses now seem to be removed? It used to be so enjoyable and I would use it almost every day possible. I liked seeing what people had created, what new courses were around... but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. It looks like it's pivoted into AI/ML and that's great if you want that, and/or it's probably more profitable, but I do miss what sololearn was. I tend to check in every now and then, just to see what is going on and what they're offering, but it seems like it's no longer what it used to be. It ultimately lead to my career, which Im greatful for, but it seems this has fallen away from where it once was.Am I missing where all the old language courses have gone? Or are they all gone, unless you've started them on your account? Sololearn was the reason I learnt new languages back in the day, but now it has lost its spark and is rolling with a new crowd.

A lot of the "old" courses had been "retired" when changing to a new courses system and have never been ported to the current one. Despite people still regularly asking about them, it doesn't appear that sololearn currently plans to revive them.

Very true. I also recently returned to sololearn after quite a few years. Sololearn nowadays took a heavy turn into making money. And ig they added all the marketing, design and AI stuff for diversity. I personally don't see much value in a tutorial that explores how to query AI chat bots, but ig someone could find them useful. Community is not quite the same nowadays either...

But the old courses in their majority should still remain (maybe few got removed, but they r mostly the same). But maybe there is a bug for u and that's why they dont show up for u. (I also found some weird things happening after long absence)

I recently joined a new community of friends at weblercodes dot com.

They have similar platform as sololearn but imo without the cringy parts. All respects to sololearn though as many people still like it and find enjoyment here.
