Will artificial intelligence replace humans in coding in the future?

I'm a teenager and I want to become an amazing programmer in the future, but as you know AI chat and GPT chat are very important these days, now I'm worried that this will destroy my dreams or not? And is there a need for human programmers in the future or not? And now I have doubts about my future, if you know my answer, please reply

Just to note, you do not have to stop learning to program even if AIs take over. If you enjoy it, don't hold yourself back from it. Just because calculators got replaced doesn't mean that people don't still enjoy being their own human calculator. We have Kindles and Nooks now, but that doesn't stop people from buying physcial copies of books. Even languages like C were supposed to replaced by more high level ones like Python or C++, but that doesn't stop people from learning C, building things with it and enjoying it.

AI cannot fully replace people because it is not truly intelligent. Contrary to some of public's belief, they are just logical fast calculators, that are only largely unpredictable due to their complexity in the amounts of calculations performed. Chat GPT is a deep learning model that uses a more modern sequential prediction approach. That is, it will predict sequences of words. This uses *supervised learning*, which would require a human to apply labels/classification for the algorithm to make sense of any data meaningfully, and also to create the algorithm itself. This is not a conscious being, consciousness does not exist in the form of AI. Also note that this is a chat program. Not really the same thing as writing code. Something to consider: GPT-3 is designed to produce human-like texts. When provided logical Turing tests or ethical questions, GPT-3 fails entirely (Floridi 2020). Why? Well, its just formulating predictions to produce words based on its trained data. Trained data being texts, like Wikipedia, hopefully scholarly articles, and whichever sources used. It is not creating its own ideas. (Note: While the tests in this article pass nowadays for chat GPT, the core idea stands as its foundation). Your dreams are safe, you are obscuring your vision with what is currently science fiction. Keep pushing towards your future goals, and maybe you can be the one that creates the first truly conscious AI. Note that Chat-GPT actually secures your future even more by pushing more awareness and development focus into AI.

I think, No.... Because AI need data for results... And we humans create data...

Hey Amir, I get where you're coming from, and it's a legit concern. The AI scene is booming, no doubt, but here's the deal – AI won't replace humans in coding completely. Of course, it's powerful... but it lacks the problem-solving finesse that the human brain brings to the table )) Look, I've been in the coding game for a while, and the real deal is this: AI is a tool, not a replacement. It'll handle repetitive stuff, yeah, but the groundbreaking, out-of-the-box thinking? That's all us, humans. My advice to you? Just accept AI as your ally in coding. But never forget that the programming world needs your unique take on code, your fresh ideas. There will always be a demand for programmers who can adapt and think beyond code!!! To further comfort you, read the facts about it here: https://www.the-next-tech.com/artificial-intelligence/what-will-ai-look-like/ Chin up, friend. Your dreams are safe. Just don't stop, keep learning and you will become that great programmer, I believe in you :)
