Can i create website like linkedin + google map

Hi there

I am was planing to create a website like linkedin (social network for professionals)
But i was planning to add a thing in it. Iam going put a map which shows users workplace or homes on it along with there professions.

So want help that how can integrate map (google map) which stores information of location and also display it.
