Career potential?

So I started using this app to learn for fun mostly. To do stuff like make use programs for pen and paper games, or just troll programs to annoy friends.

But I also figured that I might be able to leverage it into a new career. I figured that using this app would give me a decent start if I want to move forward and certified by a major school/program.

So finally on to my question. Does this app certifications carry any weight? What else should I look into to make myself better suited to a tech job? And is a college degree mandatory (my current career paths have not need a degree)? And finally what are some of the most useful programs to learn?

I don't think Sololearn certificates can make a lot of difference but you can always improve your profile to showcase your competitiveness and contribution in community.

Also your can refer other platforms like Code Chef, Hacker Rank, etc. Code Chef rank can make a huge difference.
