Basically there are two main types of machine learning, supervised and unsupervised. But apart from them, there are two more in which one is reinforcement learning. You can understand it with this example: Suppose, there is a baby and before him, there is a burning stove. Baby has no idea about that. He will touch it and it will result in pain. So, he will be careful from next time. This is basically reinforcement learning. It is a kind of machine learning when computer has no experience about a thing and it gains experience about it based on its own incidents and interactions and it results in the improvement of its task.
