What are third party API's and when to use them ?

I want to know more about APIs and third party APIs

Third Party - A 'third' entity in Legal or Property Rights Arguments. In this case, it's an API that belongs to someone else other than You, Friends or Family. So, in short: Third Party API = Someone Else's API And they let You use it! How nice. It comes to show that coders like to share! :)
