Subscripted text is low profile, a good example of it's use is with elements, e.g. Oxygen -> O2 -> O<sub>2</sub> Superscripted text is high profile, a good example of it's use is with dates, e.g. 4th October -> 4<sup>th</sup> October

when u write subscript tag between the specific word the word move little down and in other case superscript its vice versa.

subscribed text contains low profiled texts, where as superscripted text contains high profiled text

sub move the text a little down and make the font less smaller than other texts and also sup get the text a little higher than other texts
