Languages for animation and games development ?

Hey! There

Does anybody know about which languages are useful to make animation for gaming , coding languages for game development and which software for is suitable for it .

Anyone whose is already in game development or learning about it.

Game dev is commonly done in C++, Java also C#. They can all be multi platform, but C# not so much. Something like Unreal engine is a good place to start if u are into that (uses C++ but also can be used with less freedom without too much code involved).
