Does anyone feel embarrassed to share their code online?

I’ve been learning through SL and some other resources for a bit now, but typically I won’t share any progress online on forums or socials, etc, after seeing some other beginners work out of pure…embarrassment for my own, I guess? Like my work isn’t good enough compared to others. Does anyone else have the same issues with sharing your work? How do you get over that?

Don't get embarrassed brother! Always appreciate your own efforts first then others, I think this is the beginning to gain a confidence. Learning Coding is a slow process and we all go through it in different stages. Those snippet you made in your noob state, may be able to develop in your pro state. So, nothing worry just share what you can. This is the process of learning bro 🥰

I checked your codes and they are really good, something I could never make currently. No need to be embarrassed.

I saw your code, and it's honestly amazing! When it comes to sharing code, it’s not about how “good” it is—it’s about the effort you’re putting in. Everyone starts somewhere, and the most important thing is that you’re learning and improving. Try not to compare yourself to others – it doesn’t help and often just slows you down. Coding is a journey that takes time, practice, and patience. Keep going, and good luck on your journey! 🚀

Tbh i've the same experience .. When I started coding, I was so nervous to show anyone or to post what I was working on coz I thought it was awful. But honestly, I've realized that comparing yourself to others is just a recipe for stress nd everyone learns at their own pace, and some people have more time or resources to dedicate to it It’s really easy to get caught up in feeling like you’re falling behind, but trust me, you’re on your own path, and that’s all that matters

Yes, that feeling is incredibly common — many developers, especially beginners, feel hesitant to share their code out of fear of judgment or comparison. But the truth is, everyone starts somewhere, and most experienced devs appreciate the effort and growth behind early projects. One way to overcome that fear is to shift your mindset: treat sharing code not as showing off perfection, but as documenting your journey. You might be surprised how many people relate to your struggles — and even offer support or helpful feedback.
