Different quotation marks

So I noticed that when I type a quotation on SoloLearn playground, I get this: " When I type the same thing I the box that pops up when I hit “run”, I get this: “ Same goes for single quotation marks The right side is normal text, left is SoloLearn playground " vs “ ' Vs ‘ I thought this was just visuals but the 2 quotation marks are actually treated as different symbols. Why is this and is there a good way around this? I’m using copy and paste to get the 2 symbols but it’s kind of tedious. I’m on a phone by the way.

Just a pair and use them exclusively. It makes it harder to read if you use different quotes. But they all seem to work. What about when you want to use some quotes inside other quotes? "\" escape them.
