Python (3) vs C++ as first language

Question

I specifically want to learn either Python or C++ first and my end goal is robotics. I know both languages can be used for robotics and that both have large advantages and disadvantages. I also already know C++ is difficult to learn but I am willing to overlook that since other languages will be easier to learn after that. Can somebody help me decide?
