Web - When publishing a website, you have to...?

I just watched a video on how to publish a website. And he said you have to pay fee ($) to do that - for the domain and the server. Is that where PHP comes in? Is PHP to create your own server and domain (so we don't have to pay for domain and server) - or would we still have to pay fee($) to publish our website even if we knew PHP?

When you publish your website, you need the domain (mydomain.com) and a server to host the files that make up your website. You don't "have" to pay for a server, but you should if you want your website to be up 24/7. Otherwise, you are the one in charge of making sure your computer is running all the time to host your website. The domain name you do have to pay for, but they can be cheap. The domain name comes from other organizations and you can't really get around paying for that.

Airree , That's crazy because based on what that guy said in the vid, we would have to pay for the domain + server, then we have to pay monthly fee for the domain (i think,). which means if monthly fee = not paid, website = taken down.

Practically it is not possible if u want a good future about that website bcoz after publishing website u need to maintain it and u need to do a lot of security stuffs like ssl and some other things so at last u need to give money So plz don't get me wrong just spend money on website and try that how could u earn 2x or 10x from that website by spending on it. And at last it's your choice what u want to do and what not.
