Best language to learn after C++?

Hi! I just finished about a year of training of C++ and feel confident to move onto my next language. What language do you think would be best for me to try and learn (will be self-taught). What other language is most similar to C++ other than just C?

Hello, Bryn Loftness ! Not only that you have learned, the main thing is to understand the meaning itself, without it there is no place. Also, you can not become a programmer, if you do not practice your skills from this programming language, you need to write some program first, this is done for practice, you can not just learn everything completely c++. Remember the main thing is practice, and then everything will turn out. Good luck!

I saw too times similar question and i dont understand his mean... Why someone must force itself to learn multiple languages? Languages are tools that make comunicate with computer systems possible but this its not end of game, not at all... Programming is NOT learn most languages. Programming is create solution at your problems (at informatic level obviously 😁) but its on quality of your solution that reside the beauty of programming. Futhermore these tools have all pro and cons BUT programming its an field that contains many subfields (Data structures, algorithms, maths, code architecture etc) then dont lose your time learning other languages if you know one... Go deep on PROGRAMMING not on tools

i think you should learn python. a scripting language complements c++ nicely. learning a language thats very similar to c++ wouldn‘t benefit you much because you could always just use c++
