Deepthi Vemula I wish I saw this question 2 years ago. It's gone unanswered because most people here are learners and likely have little to no exposure to Kafka or any messaging based architecture in general. In any case, for those who do come across this question in the future, the answer is simply... No difference. As it relates to Kafka, Brokers are also generically referred to as nodes since there are multiple brokers used for fault tolerance. So... these are interchangeable synonyms.
