How to make a window app.

Hello everyone. I went through a few courses here and learnt a fe languages. But all of the courses show how to make a console app. I don't know any famous app where you can just write or read from the console. How can I make a window app? I want to know it especially for Java abd C++. I use Eclipse for prpgramming in Java and CodeBlocks for C++.
