Hearts are the free plan’s main limit: everyone starts with 5, a wrong quiz answer costs one, and each takes 5 hours to refill — or you can top up with Bits or earn them back through practice. Certificates are free on every plan, including the free one; they are not accredited credentials.

Which plan should you pick?

  • Start free. The free plan is a complete learning path, not a trial. Most people should begin here.
  • Get PRO when you keep hitting the limits — running out of Hearts, wanting the practice materials and Code Playground, or wanting the ads gone. If you’re practising heavily, it pays for itself.
  • Get MAX if you want help inside the lesson. Kodie explains why your answer was wrong, finds the mistake in your code and suggests a fix. It is the most expensive plan and only comes annually, so pick it when you know you’ll use it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Sololearn free?

Yes. The content of all courses is free permanently — it’s not a trial. Paid plans remove limits (Hearts, ads) and add practice extras and, on MAX, AI features.

How much does Sololearn PRO cost?

PRO is $69.99 per year, or $12.99 month-to-month. MAX is $119.88 per year, annual only, and is the most expensive plan. PRO annual includes a 14-day free trial; MAX does not.

How much does Sololearn MAX cost?

MAX is $119.88 per year and is only available as an annual plan. It is the most expensive Sololearn plan and does not include a free trial. It includes everything in PRO plus Kodie, the AI assistant, and the AI Prompting Playground.

What is the difference between PRO and MAX?

MAX includes everything in PRO — unlimited Hearts, in-lesson practice, the Code Playground, extra quizzes and no ads — and adds Kodie, the AI assistant that explains your answer, finds your mistake and suggests a solution, plus the AI Prompting Playground. PRO is the cheaper paid plan and the only one available month-to-month.

Yes, on PRO annual — 14 days, once per user or payment method. MAX does not include a trial.

Can I cancel anytime? What about refunds?

Cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the billing period, and plans auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Unused time isn’t refunded or prorated except where law requires; app-store purchases are handled through Apple or Google.

Do certificates cost extra?

No. Certificates are free on every plan, including the free plan. You earn one by completing a course, and you can download it and share it to LinkedIn. They are not accredited credentials.
