Before you start coding make clear to yourself what you want to do and especially HOW.
Write it down sentence by sentence and think how. Can code in Java. This practice helped my back those days I learned java. If you carry this on and on there will come the day where you don't need to write it down anymore and just write your code down working like a charm.
