What is a good coding language to start out in.

I am just a beginner trting out coding to see if I would like it. My primary use of it would probably be to make video games. I have no experience what so ever in either topics, but want to try it out. Any tips or suggestions would be very helpful.

When I was 13, that's when I began to learn programming. I was just some kid that loved playing video games, and one day I realized that it's something I could actually do if I wanted to, and it didn't have to just be a dream. Back then the internet wasn't as awesome as it is now, so I had to actually go buy physical books to learn programming. I busted my ass day and night to try & understand C++ through the mind of a 13 year old, but I kept pushing forward with it. I created a game as a result, and had about 50-100 players consistently playing it (including people at my high school), which was the greatest feeling in the world. So, with that being said, I don't care if you have experience or previous knowledge. You have a dream and you're here right now because you've made a choice to take action on it. You have that same spark that I had at that age, and that is what is going to allow you to climb any mountain, bust through any walls, and ensure that you accomplish what you want. If you're willing to put in the effort and hard work, you're more than welcome to join up with us. I'm more than willing to give you a platform to grow from.

I'm a game dev also, so let me ask you, which platform are you wanting to create on and do you have a particular favorite in terms of engines go? For example, if you're using something like Unity, then I would go with C#. If you're using Unreal, I believe they're C++ based, but has their own blueprint system that's neat. You can't go wrong with Java either, it's very capable. Ultimately, it just depends what direction you want to go, but you can't go wrong with starting with C#/C++/Java. We have a team that's growing and we're working on a game together. Many people on the team are learning, just like you, so if you want to join us, let me know and I can get you set up with the information.
