All the difference, the two languages have nothing in common but the name.. the JAVAscript name came because of marketing purposes, because the language JAVA was very very popular at that time and they thought calling it JAVAscript woud make it very popular too.

They are totally different :). The organization behind JavaScript use "Java" in the name was just for marketing purpose. Because at that time (around 1995), Java was a rising star.
