well..... if u use Android Studio, which is the only thing im pretty sure. it uses java. solely bc All of the OS operates in this language
there are Thousands of built in functions for java via Andriod. in which you can use to connect to databases. create scrollviews. even make a toast
all sorts of stuff.
its an industry standard. and much easier!
