PHP is AWESOME! It's easy and fun to learn.

It's useful to connect with databases (lots of them) in a secure way. It also has support to "talk" with other services using protocols such as HTTP, POP3, NNTP...

- Wordpress (most powerful blogging and website content management system (or CMS) in existence today.);

- Facebook (they have their own fork of PHP called HHVM);
