Is JAVA underestimated by C# in Mobile Apps development?

As is now seen that C# is widely used in mobile apps development. Consider the Microsoft company which uses its own IDE(visual studio) in which one is able to code once and run in different devices. As it seen though the use of Xamarin framework.
WHAT IS YOUR SUGGESTION ON THIS.

i think you are right, java is losing its fame. Android launched its support of kotlin, no game engine(powerful) works on java language(except jmonkey). Sometimes i think is it even of any use to stay updated with java? then i just stop thinking about it.
