web storage is not supported by android webview... wich sounds logical as it's domain driven, and webview are intended to encapsulate local html ^^
as I know, there's no workaround :(

I actually can't find a good reason for Local storage to be blocked
It's not like if we save a function as a string to local storage, the function would still be able to run unless we specifically collect it from local storage and convert it back to a function if we can't trigger our own costum code to do so since only us know the key for that local storage object
We'll, it might be for reasons that a don't quite understand yet, but if iOS which are so security focused didn't do it and they are so security focused, just looks like android shot themselves in the foot

Of course developers would be upset, lol, was there a formal announcement for the change tho? I didn't even know until you told me recently!
Android developer pages you say?
I'll go check them out!

Kode Krasher does local storage work in ios sl?

Wow! Lol, that's kinda unproff If you ask me >_<.

"The recent change to SL redirecting in Chrome to a page saying to download the playstore app"
yeah, that's a shame...
however, you could force your device to load it by switching to desktop view (instead of mobile) ^^ but that's only a workaround, as new playground seems always under progress (sometimes code run, sometimes not), while old one was almost perfect!

the right way would be to let us use at least old playground until they had fixed the new one... but sololearn rather decide to brutally switch to the new one without waiting for it was debugging, and some days later to simply do not let mobile user access to web code playground: that's not the price of progress, but the price of unprofessionality ^^

redirected if you load the playground as "normal" (default: mobile) view... but almost all mobile navigators have a "view as desktop" option in main menu: you should activate it to no being redirected ;)

because the only solution is in sololearn developers hands: activate the right option of webview... but I guess that's not simple as it looks like, because almost all apps using web view have this flaw ^^ (I've seen only android web browsers allowing use of web storage)

Kode Krasher Wait, does it work on android web?
I'll go test it on the site now!

Kode Krasher nvm, actually redirected u_u
So does this mean no more web playground?
