Can someone help me learn more about coding with Python please?

I'm taking a python coding class in my second year of college and would like to learn a lot more outside of my class. If anyone is willing to give me some advice I would really appreciate that.

Python can be used for all purposes. If don't tell what you are learning in python it will be hard to give any advice.

Right now I'm learning how to make a program that will compute the cheapest price of either a train ride or a car ride. The cost of gas would be $2 per gallon and the car maintenance would be 5 cents per mile. My apologies if this is too vague to comprehend this is how my professor wrote this problem out to me.

Then Emmanuel Barnette write a program that encode your messages that you send to your friend(girl/boy) and he/she should decode those messages to understand and resend to you in the some way encoded messages that you have to decrypt with some method.You have to work as team to understand what you can do with python :) Good luck.
