Why to learn to code HTML?

People say we don't code HTML, but what we are learning is coding. When I edit a text I can save it in HTML. Why there is no an app where we can just write, config etc? Learn to code only to create a web page is wast of time. Who know to code must work for update the way we edit a page or an app. This is an important question and needs so we can improve all we know.

HTML doesn't involve algorithms and formulas like in a programming language (note HTML is a markup language). HTML is just a way to present a set of data

HTML is the base of all websites. In order to create any kind of Web functionality, you need knowledge of HTML. After that you should learn programming languages to create the dynamic parts. I would suggest you to go through HTML, CSS and Javascript first, to understand how the Web works, and then move to PHP and MYSQL.
