Why does it use my clipboard?

On mobile there is a bar above the keyboard for shortcuts to certain keys like () : {} etc... But it seems to just copy and paste which deletes whatever I had copied previously. Is there a way to turn this off by any chance? Or should I just not use the shortcuts? (To further clarify) This is on the sololearn app itself and I dont have any other apps installed to add this keyboard addition and it seems to only be present in the app itself. On my iphone 8 ios 12.2 it does not cache any clipboard results to my knowledge.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer, on my (android) phone, using Gboard, it doesn't do that. And even if it would, the clipboard has a history, older content doesn't get deleted unless somehow it would delete the history too. So I'm curious what phone are you using, maybe it does that on iOS, or using a certain keyboard app?

I'm on iOS and it does this on mine. Can't tell you why though. Maybe worth sending SoloLearn feedback - they might not be aware of this.
