What do i choose between java and c to learn further upon?

So basically i learned java basics in high school then i took an year drop to prep for engineering entrance and now they've taught me C in the first semester. Now, I'm confused on what to learn further java or C because I'm not aware of what is more preferable as in job(a developer probably) perspective.

Every job asks for different things You can do job searching online and see what they ask for and notice this But, in general, the more skills you have the more valuable you become so worrying about jobs wouldnt be as stressful

In just recent years or from last decade onwards schools also preferring to include a computer language. Also choosing a popular language. But in engineering, they structured subjects a lot of years ago.. When they structured subjects, C is popular and a best language to start learning programing, still C is a best to start with. That's why they teach C as first language. Many other later programming languages developed based on C syntaxes.. Many people still prefer C as starting language even though they want learn java or any other later. Engineering academics teach C first, later in your 2-1 semester they teach c++, in 2-2 semister they teach you java... These are order they preformed.. You already learned java . its an advantages to you to learn advanced topics in java during your semester only. Because they only teach basics in total sem. You try to learn advanced topics. More skill you have , the better opportunities you get. All the best
