Check out assembly language programs. My first language was IBM 360 assembler and I recall using it. That was a more than 45 years ago and if my memory serves me right, I used it for effeciency.

What you mean about 0s and 1s? You mean all about bitwise operations or what? Anyway, i think than the tutorial is good writed and, if you see the title, its called "Intro to..."
